Thank you for visiting my website. This resource is intended to provide you with information on my practice, the team who work with me, the work that we undertake, the conditions that we treat, the outcome of my work and my research interests.

I am an Orthopaedic Surgeon whose practise has evolved over the fifteen years that I have been an NHS Consultant. In my early years I undertook all lower limb Orthopaedics. As my hip practise has developed, it has became impossible to maintain up to date knowledge of developments in foot and ankle surgery or expertise in the newer treatments that have been developed by dedicated foot and ankle surgeons. I no longer see patients with foot and ankle problems.

My first interest and greatest experience is in the investigation, treatment and research of hip problems and I now spend the great majority of my time managing patients with hip related conditions. I continue to see and treat patients with knee problems, when requested.

My work is divided between:
1) National Health Service (NHS) practice at the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC) and St Helier Hospital, Carshalton.
2) Private Practice at St Anthony's Hospital, Cheam.
3) My role as Director of Research at SWLEOC.
4) Prosthesis design and development.

I perform approximately 600 operations each year. These include:
Hip Replacement - Hip Resurfacing, Bone Conserving Mini-Hip, Primary and Revision Hip Replacement
Hip Arthroscopy
Joint Preserving Early Intervention Hip Surgery
Knee Replacement - Primary and Revision Knee Replacement
Knee Arthroscopy
Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction

Following an Orthopaedic training in London, Cambridge and Melbourne, I was appointed to the staff of St Helier Hospital, Carshalton, Surrey, in 1994. My NHS practice was based at St Helier Hospital until 2004 when the new South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC) opened, on the Epsom Hospital campus.

I undertake NHS operations at SWLEOC and private operations at SWLEOC and at St Anthony’s Hospital, Cheam. NHS out-patients clinics are held at St Helier Hospital and SWLEOC. Private out-patient clinics are held at St Anthony's.

My curriculum vitae is provided and my research publications can be viewed at www.pubmed.com
